1. Welcome

Welcome to HempMS! This guide takes you from your very first login all the way to end game. Every chapter is short and links to the Database for the full tables and numbers. Missing something? Ask other players or staff on our Discord.

Servers in Europe and Asia

HempMS runs in Europe. Playing from Asia or Oceania usually means a high and unstable ping, so HempMS also has an Asia Server in Singapore that gives you a much more stable connection (how to use it).

Download & installation

The easiest way to play is the HempMS Launcher. It downloads all game files for you and keeps them up to date. When it is done, the grey PLAY button turns colorful - click it to start the game. If you downloaded the full client (.zip), extract it first and open HempMS Launcher.exe.

The HempMS Launcher

We highly advise you to click the DEFENDER button in the launcher. Microsoft Defender often removes MapleStory private server files as a false positive.

The launcher downloads every file from our Cloudflare R2 storage. If you use the Full Client (.zip), extract it completely before opening the launcher from that folder.

Playing on a Mac

HempMS is a Windows game, but you can play it on a Mac too: run Windows in a virtual machine such as Parallels or VMware Fusion (most reliable), or use a Wine app such as CrossOver or Whisky without installing Windows. Step-by-step instructions are on the macOS page.

Game resolution & settings

Click the gear icon (top right) or Game settings in the launcher to change the width and height of your game window, turn backgrounds on or off and simplify your damage numbers.

Create a free account

You can register on the website or directly in the game client: enter the Login ID and password you want. If you get an error, the Login ID is probably taken - try another one.

Can't connect?

First check on the website that the server is online. If it is online but you still cannot connect:

  1. Press the Windows key and search for CMD.
  2. Right-click it and choose Run as Administrator.
  3. Paste this and press Enter, then restart your computer:
    netsh winsock reset & netsh int ip reset & ipconfig /release & ipconfig /renew & ipconfig /flushdns
More details

Also try this if the website itself does not load. Still stuck after a restart? Ask the staff on Discord.

Server rules in short

  • Behave normal. Be respectful to other players and staff - no harassment, scamming or spamming.
  • No hacking. Cheat Engine, WZ editing, packet editing and any other client modification or third-party cheat tool are not allowed and lead to a ban.
  • Macros and AutoHotkey (AHK) are allowed. Automating your own key presses is fine - changing the game itself is not.
  • You may have up to three Login IDs per IP/device, but only one may gain EXP. The other two can only do AFK activities, like fishing or running a shop.

Multi accounts: one earner per connection

Only one character per internet connection (IP) can earn at a time - we call it your earner. The first character that gains EXP becomes the earner. Your other characters can still fish, buff, trade, run a shop, chat and vote, but they get no EXP, mesos, drops or rewards while the earner is active.

More details
  • The earner loses the spot when it logs out, or when it has gained no EXP for 3 minutes. Then the next character that gains EXP takes over.
  • Switching characters: stop killing with your earner, wait 3 minutes, then start killing with the other one. No need to log out.
  • A blocked character gets a red [One per IP] chat message that names your current earner and how long until the spot is free.
  • Blocked characters also get no party EXP share, kill bonuses, quest, @daily task (except voting and fishing) or achievement progress.
  • The earner rule looks at your internet connection (IP) - which computer (HWID) you use does not matter, every character on the same internet shares one earner. Does a family member or someone else in your household also play? Open a ticket on Discord and explain the situation - staff will tell you if a whitelist is needed.
  • The @daily gift, the daily task reward and the @quests starter quests are meant to be claimed once per player.

Full explanation with examples: Multi Accounts.

2. Your First Steps

New here? Do these in order and you will progress fast.

  1. Join a guild right away. Use @guild from level 10. Guild skills work the moment you join: extra damage, bonus stats and up to 50% damage resistance. Once a day you can also loot every guild member (All-In-One NPC → Guild) for Golden Meso Bags, Fame, gacha tickets, passes, Damage Skin boxes and sometimes an Event Point or Donation Point.
  2. Follow the early game quests (@quests). Nothing needs to be accepted - just kill monsters and they complete by themselves. Your first 300 kills give a Super Golden Apple, level 30 a VIP Teleport Rock, level 120 a Frenzy Totem (2x EXP), level 250 ten Miraculous Chaos Scrolls, and every quest pays a big chunk of EXP.
  3. Let auto-attack do the work. Put your attack skill on the left Ctrl key first - auto-attack always uses that key. Then @at attacks in place, @at move walks between monsters, @stop turns it off. See Auto-attack.
  4. Train smart with @training. The number in front of each map is the monster level. Pick monsters slightly above your own level if your damage allows it. Levels 30-120 cost only half the normal EXP, and levels 250-2,000 are discounted too.
  5. Clear Mu Lung Dojo early. Normal Dojo (@dojo) is free and open from level 10, Kaotic Dojo opens at level 2,000 and Master Dojo at 10,000. Every Normal clear gives a bonus stat of your choice (+5% Easy, +8% Normal, +12% Hard, +15% Hell) plus 100 Super Enhancement Scrolls. There is no soft cap - your chosen stat can go all the way to 99,999%. On Saturdays Dojo bonus stats are doubled.
  6. Start bossing early. @boss teleports you to any unlocked boss (1 Spell Trace entry). Every kill gives +10% to a random @bonus stat, and 10 kills unlock the next boss. Some bosses are open from level 10.
  7. Vote every day. You can vote 10 times per Login ID per day. Your 1st vote gives Vote Points and NX Cash, your 1st vote also gives a Silver Box and your 2nd a Silver Master Key (open them with @box), your 1st, 5th and 10th votes each give a Game Die for the @diceboard, and your 10th vote can give a free Donation Point. Collect it all in-game with @claimvote.
  8. Never skip your free rewards. Claim @daily every day and finish its daily tasks (vote plus 3 random activities) for a Silver Box, a Silver Master Key, 100 Golden Meso Bags and 10 Worms. Every week, @week asks for 5,000 hunts, 5 boss kills and 5 activities - the final claim pays 5 Donation Points.
  9. Cube your gear. Fredrick in the Free Market adds potential lines with Red Cubes, up to 5 per item. Turn on Auto Cube to 5 Potential Lines, then fine-tune your lines at Athena Pierce.
  10. Earn Oda Coins in Sengoku School (@sengoku) and turn them into the Sengoku Hakase Badge - one of the best badges in the game and very reachable early on. Coins left over? The Totem Merchant trades them 1:1 for Pink Cubes or Spell Traces.
  11. Try Monster Park (@mp). Trade the Commemorative Coins that monsters drop for entry tickets at Mary. It is one of the best ways to gain EXP.
  12. Trade in the Free Market. @ah opens the Auction House and @market searches every shop - the easiest way to sell your drops for mesos and find cheap gear.
  13. Collect free bonus stats. Achievements (@achievement, @abonus), town quests (@townquest, @qbonus) and the Collection Log (@clog) all fill up just by playing and add permanent @bonus stats. See Fishing, Crafting & More.
  14. Go fishing while away. @fishing takes you to the fishing spot - sit on a fishing chair to earn rewards AFK, and follow your catches with @fishtracker.
  15. Explore more content. Endless Park (@endless), Trials (@trials), Battle Square (@battlesquare) and the Huntroom (@huntroom) all give EXP and rewards. See Bossing, Dojo & Dungeons.
  16. Know the Ascension gates. From Total Level 9,999 you need Ascension Points (AP) every 2,500 levels. You earn them every day by voting, bossing, crafting, fishing and more - check yours with @ascension. See Leveling & Ascension.
  17. Make extra characters. They give your whole account Link Skill bonuses (@link), they can do the early game quests again, and they level 3x faster thanks to Hyper Burning.
  18. Keep your client stable. Run @loot, @effect 0, @indicator, @unitdamage and @npc once - they are remembered per character.
  19. Handy extras. @translate es translates chat and NPCs to Spanish.
  20. Getting one-hit? Check the monster level with @monster and train somewhere lower for now. See Leveling.
  21. Don't worry about skill points. Skills are maxed automatically. Spend your Ability Points with @ap (or let it put them into one stat on every level-up), track your progress with @bonus and find every command with @help. @guide opens this guide in game.

3. Game Basics

Jobs

Every job gets Final Attack (up to 15 hits on 10 targets) on every skill that can trigger it, so all jobs are viable. Available jobs:

The character creation screen
The character creation screen
  • Explorers: Bowmaster, Marksman, Bishop, Fire/Poison Mage, Ice/Lightning Mage, Corsair, Buccaneer, Cannoneer, Night Lord, Shadower, Dual Blade, Hero, Paladin, Dark Knight
  • Cygnus Knights (no 4th job): Ark, Kain, Kanna, Night Walker, Pathfinder
  • Resistance (no 4th job): Battle Mage, Mechanic, Wild Hunter
  • Evan and Demon Slayer - Demon Slayer is great for Monster Book cards (@mb) and Town Quests
  • Mercedes works, but is not fully developed yet

Job advancing: Explorers type @job at level 30 to pick their 2nd job (for example Assassin or Bandit); most other jobs get it automatically. The 3rd and 4th job come automatically at level 70 and 120. Missed an advance? @job works at any level from 30 up, for every job.

Not sure what to play? Bossing compares the best attack skill of every job (skill damage, hits and measured attack speed), mobbing uses monsters killed in a fixed time, measured in game. Gear and stats count the same for everyone. Full numbers on the Job Tier List page.

Jobs with a slow cast animation (like mages) do less damage per second. Mercedes was never fully finished, so it is not recommended.

Auto-attack (@at)

Auto-attack fights for you, so you keep gaining EXP while you are away. It always presses your left Ctrl key, so first open your key settings and put your best attack skill on left Ctrl.

  • @at - presses your Ctrl skill every 0.4 seconds and attacks in place. Best on a map where monsters walk into your skill.
  • @at move - also walks to the closest monster on the map, so you clear the whole map by yourself. You will see "You have been seduced" messages in chat - that is how it moves you, nothing is wrong.
  • @stop (or @at again) - turns it off.

While it runs it also uses your Super Golden Apples and places a Frenzy, Raging or Fury Totem from your USE tab whenever the map has none. If you finish an event or dungeon with @at still on, it replays the run for you (solo only).

More details

Ranged and wide skills work best, because @at does not jump or climb - it only walks left and right on your platform. If @at move gets stuck, move to another spot and type it again. Status Resistance and Holy Shield do not stop @at move, so you don't have to turn your Status Resist buff off for it. Macros and AutoHotkey are allowed too (see the rules).

Basic controls & tips

  • Keys: open your key settings to drag skills, potions and commands onto your keyboard. Left Ctrl is your auto-attack key.
  • No looting needed: drops go straight into your inventory (see Item VAC).
  • Stuck or lost? @stuck frees your character, @fm takes you to the market, and the Move Quickly button below the minimap has teleports.
  • Your money at a glance: @wallet shows every currency you own (VP, NX, EP, DP, GMB, coins), including your Overflow.
  • Pets stay out when you change maps. Pet equipment (potion pouches, Meso Magnet, Item Ignore Pendant and more) is sold by Pet Pygmy in the Free Market.
  • Saving: your character is saved automatically every few minutes and every time you open or close your storage.
  • Lost? @help lists every command, @guide opens this guide.

Reduce client crashes

Keep the game running smooth and stable for hours. Type these once - they are remembered per character:

  • @loot - recycles equipment drops into Unleashed Coins automatically (no loot animations)
  • @effect 0 - turns off skill effects of you, other players and monsters
  • @indicator - hides the ETC farm and kill counter
  • @unitdamage - turns off the damage numbers
  • @npc - turns off NPC animations and movements
More details

Equipment loot animations are one of the main causes of crashes, so @loot helps the most. Its Unleashed Coins can be donated to your guild (@etc → Guild Points) or traded at the Currency Shop.

Settings are remembered per character, not per Login ID - run them again on every new character.

Item VAC

HempMS has a built-in item VAC: monsters don't drop items on the ground, everything goes straight into your inventory. ETC items go into your Overflow (@etc), and every NPC and shop can take items from there directly. Mesos above 2,147,483,647 go into your bank (@bank) as Golden Meso Bags.

More details

1 Golden Meso Bag = 1 billion Mesos. ETC items never take up inventory space - you only take them out of your Overflow to trade or drop them.

The All-In-One NPC

The button on your screen opens the All-In-One NPC: shops, a shortcut to the market, free appearance changes, currency exchange, guild loot and much more. @shop opens the essential store (potions, arrows, stars, bullets, megaphones).

The All-In-One NPC

Go To Market (or @fm) takes you to the DP Market, where most Donation Points are spent (item upgrades, boosts, the DP Dungeon). Take the portal up to reach the Free Market: fishing, upgrades for non-donor currencies, cubing, chairs, character customisation, events and your Hired Merchant.

Move Quickly

The button under your minimap gives you shortcuts:

Move Quickly
Move Quickly
  • Mirror - towns you have unlocked
  • Quests - your quest progress
  • Recycling (@recycle) - turn items into Unleashed Coins. High-stat, unique and donation items are never recycled. Note: @itemfilter overrules a big part of @recycle and @loot.
  • Overflow (@etc) - your ETC storage, plus Guild Points to donate Unleashed Coins to your guild
  • Shuttle - training locations
  • Bank (@bank) - your Golden Meso Bags, shared by all characters on your Login ID. Your bank limit grows with your Mesos achievements; the last one removes it.
  • Currency Shop - Inkwell, trade currencies for upgrades
  • Auction House (@ah) - the Hired Merchant area. @market opens a handy search window.

More details
  • Mirror - towns unlock by levelling, killing bosses or finishing quests and achievements.
  • Quests - covers all 798 quests.
  • Recycling - you can set a preset that only touches the first X slots below an attack value of your choice; @loot uses the same preset. Unique drops like Dino items always pass the filter.
  • Guild Points - donate up to 2 billion Unleashed Coins to raise your guild level and its bonus stats.
  • Bank - also an NPC in the Free Market.
  • Currency Shop - sells scrolls, Spell Traces, Super Enhancement Scrolls and more.

Markets

@fm (or the big green Go To Market button) takes you to the DP Market, where you spend Donation Points. Take the portal up to reach the Free Market: fishing, upgrades for non-donation currencies, cubes, events, chairs and your own shop.

Your own shop

Talk to Donald in the Free Market to claim a free Hired Merchant, then place it in the Auction House (@ah). It stays up to 30 days and survives server restarts. Every item is tradeable - use @offerequip 1 <item name> in a trade window for untradeable items, or sell them through your shop with @sell.

More details

Hired Merchants are placed back automatically after an update or maintenance, so your shop keeps running for the full 30 days.

Storage

Your storage is shared by all characters on your Login ID. Your account is saved automatically when you open and close it. Chairs pile up fast - @storechair moves every chair from your inventory into your Overflow.

Storage
Storage
More details

The forced save on opening and closing prevents duping and item loss.

Item Filter

Drops go straight into your inventory, so @itemfilter decides what is allowed in. It has three tools that work together: a Drop Blacklist (listed items go to @recoveritem, never lost), an Attack Filter (equips below your minimum W.ATK/M.ATK are recycled for Unleashed Coins) and a Top-N Filter (keep only your best N copies of an item). Dino items are always kept, unless you turn on Dino recycling in the Attack Filter (Item Filter).

More details

@loot recycles every equip drop. With @itemfilter set up as well, items that pass your filters are kept even while @loot is on, so the two work well together.

NPCs & shops

Most NPCs you need are one command away (@shop, @dpshop, @epshop, @vpshop, @pzakshop, @bql, ...) or stand in the Free Market and DP Market (@fm). The database has three NPC lists: the most important NPCs, all NPCs with what they do and where they stand, and every shop in one place - what each shop sells, what it costs and how to reach it.

4. Leveling & Ascension

Rates

The base EXP rate is around 120x. As you play you earn bonus stats that push your EXP, Meso and Drop rate up to 99,999% (125,000% with a boost).

Where to train

@training teleports you to training maps. The level in front of each map is the monster level - aim slightly above your own level if your damage allows it. Other great EXP sources: Monster Park, Battle Square, Life Scroll events and the DP Dungeon.

The @training window
The @training window

Maximum level & Ascension

The maximum level is 60,000. Every couple thousand levels you unlock new content: Mu Lung Dojo, Boss PQ, Monster Park, burning instances, end-game bossing, cubes, enhancements and more (Level Cap & EXP Table).

From Total Level 9,999 you meet an Ascension gate every 2,500 levels (9,999, 12,499, 14,999, ...). At a gate your EXP is held just below 100% until you have enough Ascension Points (AP): 500 AP for the gates up to 14,999 and 1,000 AP from 17,499 on. Nothing is lost while you wait - as soon as you have enough AP, your next kill breaks through. Gates are shared by your Login ID: once one character breaks a gate, your other characters pass it for free (relog if it just happened).

You earn AP every day just by playing: voting, Pink Zakum kills, @boss clears, Trial runs, Dice Board rolls, @craft, time online, opening Silver and Gold Boxes and earning Fishing Coins. Each source has a daily limit. AP counts from 250 levels before a gate (up to half of what the gate needs) - earlier, only votes count, because they are checked afterwards. Every gate you break also gives +1% Rare Drop Rate. Type @ascension to see your next gate, your AP and today's AP per source (Ascension Tiers).

Hyper Burning

Hyper Burning helps your extra characters catch up with your main. Every character on your Login ID that is lower level than your highest character burns automatically - nothing to activate or buy. While burning, every level-up gives 2 bonus levels, so each level-up counts as 3 levels.

A character burns until it reaches Total Level 9,999 (the first Ascension gate) or the level of your highest character, whichever comes first. Your highest level is checked when you log in (Hyper Burning).

Skills & Ability Points

Skills are maxed automatically - no need to collect Skill Points. You get +5 Ability Points (AP) per level-up; spend them with @ap. The maximum per stat is 99,999,999. Golden Maple Leaves can be traded for extra AP at Nana (Free Market or Henesys).

Early game quests

The early game quests (@quests) start and complete by themselves while you kill monsters. Rewards include a 2x EXP totem, a Damage Skin box, a VIP Teleport Rock, a Super Golden Apple, starter equipment and lots of EXP (all rewards).

More details

21 quests from level 1 to 2,500. Each kill counts for every quest you are high enough level for, and a quest claims itself on the final kill (if your inventory is full, claim it in @quests). Most quests can be claimed once per player; a few (the Apple, Teleport Rock, Totem, Damage Skin box, Aura Pendants and Absolute Rings) up to 3 times, on different characters. Extra accounts on the same PC share these claims. Highlights later on: 500 Red Cubes (level 500), a Donation Point (600), a Legendary Chaos Scroll (1,000), a Gold Box with key (2,250) and a Gold Richies Ignition Key for the Meso Farm (2,500).

Burning instances (@instance)

@instance gives you (or your party) a private copy of the map you are on. From level 5,000 you can make it burn for extra EXP: Burning (+25%, level 5,000), Burr-ning (+50%, 10,000), Mega (+100%, 15,000), Ultra (+150%, 25,000), HEMPED UP (+200%, 35,000) and YEEEEEEEET (+300%, 45,000). @leaveinstance takes you out (Instances).

More details

Every map has a map bonus that drops 1% per minute while you farm it in an instance (back to 100% at 00:00, or 1% per minute while empty). @burning refreshes it to 100% for 5 Donation Points; a Firestarter Ring keeps it at 100% for free. On the End of the World and Cernium maps the higher tiers boost the monsters' base EXP instead, so that part is not limited by the bonus cap. Check what your tier adds with @bonus inside the instance.

Why do I keep getting one-hit?

Because the monster is much higher level than you - check it with @monster. Every 1% the monster is above your level makes its hits a lot stronger. Weapon and Magic Defence only help once they are higher than the monster's attack (hundreds of millions at end-game bosses). What helps:

  1. Damage resistance - guild skills give up to 50%, potential lines 1-5% each, and Riman's Buff Shop (@fm) sells +20% for 25 Donation Points (up to 80% from the shop). The cap is 90%, but normal hits are cut by at most 75% - the rest only helps against bombs that hit for a % of your HP. Resist can save you from a hit of up to ~4 times your HP, never more.
  2. Train in a lower level area for now.
  3. If you are funded, level through events (Life Scroll Event, Battle Square, DP Dungeon) instead.
  4. Riman's Buff Shop (@fm) sells a Permanent Status Resistance buff (25 Donation Points) so you can't be stunned or frozen.
More details

Better gear will not stop instant deaths: if the level difference is too large you will be one-shot no matter what. Once you reach a boss's level, resist is what keeps you alive: from Lucid on, every boss one-shots you without it. Formulas, DEF examples and every boss's hit: Damage Resist.

Damage cap

The damage cap is the highest number a single hit can ever deal (shown as "Qu" in game). Check it with @damagecap (Bonus Guide, point 3). It has two parts:

  • Level part - grows with your total level, up to 99,999 Q at level 30,000. It starts at 0.5 Q per level (4,000 Q at level 8,000) and grows faster the closer you get to 30,000 (about 4,800 Q at 10,000, 32,600 Q at 20,000).
  • Bonus part - on top of that, with no ceiling: +15 Q per Monster Book card (Prestige cards included), +5 Q per achievement and quest, Trial Points and your Link Characters.

The damage cap is account-wide: every character on your Login ID uses the highest damage cap any of your characters has reached, so a fresh alt hits as hard as your main.

5. Bonus Stats

Bonus stats are the core of your progress. They are shared by every character on your Login ID. There are eight: EXP Rate, Meso Rate, Drop Rate, All Stats, Overpower, Total Damage, Boss Damage and Ignore Enemy Defence (IED).

Caps

  • Every stat is capped at 99,999%, at every level.
  • EXP, Meso and Drop can go higher with a boost: 110,000% with a Firestarter Ring inside a burning @instance, and 125,000% with a Donation Point buff (@dpbuff) while it lasts.
  • Ignore Enemy Defence has no cap - Boss PQ, Link Skills and equipment easily push it past 200,000%.
More details

All bonus stats are shared by every character on your Login ID. The types are EXP Rate, Meso Rate, Drop Rate, All Stats, Overpower, Total Damage, Boss Damage and Ignore Enemy Defence (IED).

Where to earn them

  • Bosses - +10% to a random stat per kill
  • Mu Lung Dojo - +5% to +100% to a stat of your choice per clear, no soft cap
  • Boss Party Quest - +50% to +2,500% Ignore Enemy Defence
  • Achievements, quests and Link Skills - account-wide bonuses
More details

Link Skills give +25% to +9,999% per character, and the Collection Log adds permanent bonuses on top.

Boosts

  • Frenzy Totem - doubles your total EXP
  • Determination Ring - +50% EXP
  • Riman's EXP buff - doubles your total EXP and lets you go past 99,999% up to 125,000%
  • Firestarter Ring - lets you reach 110,000% inside a burning @instance and keeps the instance at 100%
  • Riman's Buff Shop (@fm) - EXP, Drop, Meso and ETC buffs for 6 Donation Points per hour each, or 2 Vote Points per hour in @vpshop. They are account-wide and keep counting down while you are offline (Player Boosts).

Commands

  • @bonus - your full bonus breakdown and caps
  • @stats - your overall bonus
  • @abonus / @qbonus / @link - from achievements / quests / Link Skills
  • @buff - your active boosts

6. Bossing, Dojo & Dungeons

Bossing below level 7,500

@boss teleports you to any unlocked boss for 1 Spell Trace, as often as you like. Your first 25 kills of each boss give +10% to a random bonus stat (counted per Login ID), and each boss must be killed 10 times to unlock the next - that 10th kill also gives +10% Boss Damage. Some bosses open at level 10, others at 5,000.

More details

Each of your first 25 kills of a boss gives +10% to a random bonus stat (+250% max per boss, counted per Login ID). After that you can keep fighting it as often as you like for its drops. With @at on you automatically re-enter Regular and Boss Coin bosses after each clear, at double the entry cost.

Bossing from level 7,500

These bosses cost 5 Spell Traces and also drop Boss Coins (spend them at Kettle, @bql) and the ETC items you need for a Premium Boss Key. Again, 10 kills unlock the next boss.

More details

Boss Coins are spent at Kettle (@bql): Genesis armor (300 coins) and Legendary Maple weapons (600 coins), plus upgrades for them - see End game in Equipment & Upgrades.

End-game bossing (level 10,000+)

End-game bosses need a Premium Boss Key (party leader only) and 500 to 30,000 Golden Meso Bags. They give 25-69 Boss Coins and 1-10 Warrior's Tokens, which buy Nebulites, and can drop Silver and Gold Boxes with their keys. All bosses: Bosses.

More details

Bosses in this group fight at level 14,200 (Capo) up to 18,500 (Chosen Seren) and have 24,999 to 266,461 quintillion HP - check Bosses to see from which level each one stops one-shotting you. Some need 2 Premium Boss Keys. Nebulites are the final step of end-game gearing.

Mu Lung Dojo

The place to raise your bonus stats (all except IED). Defeat 40 bosses in a row, each one stronger than the last. Clear each difficulty to unlock the next. You can go in a party - every member must meet the level requirement, and only the leader pays.

  • Normal Dojo (level 10, free) and Kaotic Dojo (level 2,000+) give +5% to +100% to a stat of your choice per clear, plus Super Enhancement Scrolls. There is no soft cap - your chosen stat goes all the way to 99,999%.
  • Master Dojo (level 10,000+) gives Golden or Fuchsia Maple Leaves instead, which you trade for AP at Nana.
  • Dojo Legends: the fastest solo clear in each ranked category is #1 for the week and wins Event Points every Monday.

All difficulties, costs and rewards: Mu Lung Dojo.

More details

IED only comes from Boss PQ. Entry costs 0 to 3,000 Golden Meso Bags depending on the mode. Nana is in the Free Market and Henesys.

Dojo Legends tracks three ranked categories. Beat the best time and your record is announced in game and in the Discord channel #dojo. Every Monday at 00:00 server time the #1 of each category gets +3 Event Points.

Boss Party Quest

40 bosses in a row that keep getting stronger. Rewards: +50% to +2,500% Ignore Enemy Defence and 5-2,000 Legends Maple Coins (spend them at Agent Meow). Start it with @bpq; entry costs 1-250 Golden Meso Bags (Boss PQ).

Each boss is a tier higher than the last - more HP, more damage and more EXP. You can go in a party, but every member must meet the level requirement. Also reachable through Move Quickly → Game Content → Boss PQ.

Monster Park

A timed clear (solo, or a party for Hard/Hell): defeat every monster on a stage before the timer runs out. Every clear gives that day's themed reward box. Entries are limited per day. One of the best EXP sources in the game. Start at @mp.

Burning Hell Challenge (level 10,000+): an end-game Hell stage that costs 1,000-4,000 Golden Meso Bags and rewards a Burning Hell Coin plus 1 Donation Point per finished run (max 10 runs a day) to upgrade your Spiegelmann's Gold Badge up to 30,000,000 all stats (Monster Park).

More details

Monster Park EXP is generous up to level 30,000; after that it drops by 25% per 10,000 levels.

Normal stages have 30 minutes, the Burning Hell Challenge 60 minutes. Entries are limited to 25 per day per difficulty (plus up to 5 bought ones at Monster Park Reborn, double the price each time), and clears count towards your achievements. Get entry tickets from Mary with the Commemorative Coins every monster drops.

There are four difficulties - Easy, Normal, Hard and Hell - each with its own stages and ticket. Hard and Hell can also be run as a Party Challenge (2-4 players). Every clear gives 175 Monster Park E Tickets (500 in Burning Hell) and the box of the day: Sunday EXP, Monday crafting, Tuesday enhancement, Wednesday traits, Thursday honor, Friday Mesos and Saturday festive rewards.

The Burning Hell Challenge is unlocked separately at the Monster Park NPC; its tier and entry cost scale with your exact party size.

Endless Monster Park

A solo challenge from level 8,000: climb as many floors as you can in 20 minutes. Every floor gets tougher, every 5th floor is a boss, and every floor gives a big chunk of EXP. The top 3 of the weekly ladder win Event Points. Type @endless (Endless Monster Park).

More details

You can also start it through @mp by talking to Spiegelmann. Only your best run of the week counts; the top 3 get their Event Points every Monday.

Trials

Ten of the strongest bosses in one timed run (level 10,000+). Top the weekly ladder for up to 60 Event Points, and earn Trial Points for scrolls, Premium Boss Keys and extra damage cap. Type @trials (Trials).

More details

Trial Points buy Legendary, Perfect Innocence and Goodness Chaos Scrolls in the Trial Point shop. @trials warps you to the lobby.

Sengoku School

Solo: 30 minutes to clear 20 rooms. The first 19 give 1 Oda Coin each, the final boss 1-6 more. Entry needs a Sengoku Class Supplementary Pass; for 250 extra Golden Meso Bags you can skip the rooms and get 25 Oda Coins directly (Sengoku School).

More details

Passes come from guild loot, @daily, monster drops and Agent Meow. The Oda Coins buy the three totems for the Sengoku Hakase Badge (5,000,000 - 6,500,000 in every stat).

Battle Square

Solo, 10 minutes against endless waves of monsters at your own level - the map keeps refilling to 100 monsters. Up to 25 battles per day per Login ID. Type @battlesquare (Battle Square).

More details

Talk to Crawson to start. You can also get there with the Monster Park Shuttle or Maximus in town. Leaving the map or dying ends your battle; your results are shown in chat.

Life Scroll Event

Solo, 10 minutes of monsters at your own level - great for Dino equipment, Golden Maple Leaves, Pop Coins, Maple Points and Maple Credits. Talk to Ria in the Free Market or Ellinia (needs a Life Scroll).

Ria starts the Life Scroll Event
Ria starts the Life Scroll Event
More details

Every run costs 1 Life Scroll and 10 Golden Meso Bags, with no daily limit. Each run picks one monster group at random: Zombies, Baby Bosses (with their own rare equipment drops), Lil' Murgoths, Past Selves or - the one everybody hopes for - the Golden Dream Pig, which drops Golden Maple Leaves. The map refills every 2 seconds, so the Rare Drop Table and Dino drops roll a lot (Life Scroll Event).

Gold Richie's Meso Farm

Hand Gold Richie a Gold Richies Ignition Key and you get 60 seconds in his treasure storage, full of Golden Pigs that die in one hit. Every Golden Pig drops a Golden Meso Bag, so bring your best mobbing skill. Get there through the Monster Park Shuttle (Game Content in the NPC menu) → Gold Richie's Meso Farm (Meso Farm).

More details

Keys: 5 Donation Points each at Kanna (@dpshop), claim 12 of @week, and the starter quest Golden Treasure (level 2,500). There are 18 pigs at a time and they respawn very fast. When the minute is up you are back at the exit - talk to Gold Richie again with the next key. The storage is a normal map, so others can farm there at the same time.

Huntroom

Fight any (non-boss) monster you choose for 1 DP (10 minutes) or 2 DP (30 minutes). Type @huntroom, search the monster and pick the version - it tells you if it counts for your Monster Book.

From the 15th of the month your 1st vote of the day pays +1 extra Vote Point, and on the last day of the month +4. Daily rewards

Claim @daily (or Doofus in the Free Market) every day: Life Scrolls, Golden Meso Bags, scrolls, Worms, boxes, passes, gacha tickets, Hero's Keys, Pink Cubes and Donation Points. Donors get +10% to +400% extra depending on their tier (Daily Rewards).

More details

The free rewards follow a 14-day streak with a different reward each day. On top of that come the daily tasks (a vote plus 3 random activities) for 1 Silver Box, 1 Silver Master Key, 100 Golden Meso Bags and 10 Worms.

Weekly quests

@week (or Moonbeam in the Free Market): hunting and activity quests every week for Golden Meso Bags, scrolls, Worms and Donation Points (Weekly Rewards).

@week
@week
More details

Each hunt has a Go button that teleports you to the monster for 5 Spell Traces. The board asks for 5,000 monster hunts, 5 boss kills and 5 random activities (Pink Zakum, Dojo, Boss PQ, Monster Park, MLHS, Sengoku, voting, fishing, scrolling, cubing or gacha). The final claim gives 5 Donation Points.

The board is shared by your whole Login ID and the quests are picked for your level the first time you open it each week - so open it on your highest character first. Every claim moves you one step along the reward track, in any order: a Silver Box and key, 10,000 Super Enhancement Scrolls, 500 White Cubes, 50 Pink Cubes, Miraculous Chaos Scrolls, Net Cafe tickets, Game Dice, a Gold Box and key, a Sengoku Pass, a Hero's Key, an MLHS key, a Gold Richies Ignition Key, Innocence Scrolls, Lavender Seeds and finally 5 Donation Points.

Daily events

Monster Carnival, King of the Hill, Nett's Pyramid, Ola Ola, OX Quiz and Fitness rotate - roughly every 2 hours one opens for a 3-minute sign-up. Watch @joinevent and the announcements. Winners get 10 to 20 Event Points and every participant gets 2, to spend in @epshop (Donation Points, Golden Meso Bags and rare scrolls).

@joinevent
@joinevent

Pink Zakum gives Pink Zakum Coupons for your Helmet and Arms at Lil Zakum (@pzakshop), up to 9,999,999 all stats and 5 lines of 50% IED (Daily Events).

More details

Every 2 hours one of the six events is picked at random, so each one runs about twice a day - watch @joinevent rather than waiting for a fixed time. One character per IP can join each round. Pink Zakum is not on the rotation: you can fight it any time, with 2 entries per day (reset at 00:00).

Event Points (@epshop)

Event Points come from the daily events, the weekly ladders (Dojo Legends, Endless Monster Park, Trials), the seasonal events and the referral program. Spend them in @epshop (or the Legend Shop NPC in Free Market room 3) (Event Points):

All three give boxes full of rewards: gacha tickets, cubes, scrolls, Golden Meso Bags, Silver and Gold Boxes, Event Points and Donation Points.

EventWhenHow it works

Every item, NX and non-NX, can have up to 5 potential lines.

Cubes at Cygnus cost 1 to 5,000 Unity Hearts and 0 to 10 Golden Meso Bags each. When cubing manually at Fredrick you can hold Y to confirm quickly.

Too many spare cubes? From level 3,000 the same Cube Shop trades them up into Pink Cubes: 6,000 Red or 6,000 Purple or 60 White Cubes, plus 10 Golden Meso Bags, for 1 Pink Cube. Leftover Oda Coins also buy Pink Cubes 1:1 at the Totem Merchant in Sengoku School.

Fusion Anvils

Change how an item looks while keeping its stats. Get anvils at Kanna and use them at Thunderhammer (both in the DP Market). Normal anvils are for non-NX items, Cash anvils for NX items (not Dino), Dino anvils for Dino items (Fusion Anvils).

Dino items

18 NX items - Dinosaur, Dinofrog and Dino hats, overalls, shoes and gloves, plus the Dinofrog weapon - can drop from any monster with special high stats, each at about 1 in 500,000. Every stat rolls between 1,000 and a ceiling set by the monster's level (@monster), not yours: up to 250,000 at monster level 2,500, 2,000,000 at 10,000 and 6,000,000 at 30,000+. Overalls roll 2.5x stats, and the Dinofrog has a higher attack ceiling (High-stat Dino Items).

  • Your Rare Drop Rate boosts these odds: Donation Angel Medal, Fishing Belt, MVP Chat/Label Ring, Ascension gates and Monday's 2x Global Rare Drop bonus.
  • The Life Scroll Event is a great place to farm them - 100 monsters on the map at all times.
  • @itemfilter and @loot never recycle Dino items unless you turn that on yourself.
  • A [SPECIAL] Dino Fusion Anvil (10 DP at Kanna) moves a Dino item's stats onto another item of the same slot - the Dino item is used up.

Pet gear

Pet Pygmy in the DP Market sells 10 pet items (potion pouches, Meso Magnet, Wing Boots, Binocular, Item Ignore Pendant, Auto Buff Gem and two Pet Rings). Each one is an extra gear slot with 1,000,000 in every stat and attack plus 5 potential lines. One of each per Login ID; the price goes up with every purchase, from 50 DP + 2,000 Golden Meso Bags (level 5,000) to 150 DP + 6,000 Golden Meso Bags (level 10,000) (Pet Gear).

Drops from every monster

On top of its own drops, every monster can drop the Rare Drop Table items (gacha tickets, Life Scrolls, scrolls, Worms, Donation Points, Dino equipment), the guaranteed equip drops and high-stat Dino equipment. Your Rare Drop Rate is boosted by the Donation Angel Medal, the Fishing Belt, MVP Rings and every Ascension gate you break. Odds: Rare Drop Table, Guaranteed Equip Drops, High-stat Dino.

More details

Rare Drop Table odds:

ItemChance
Gachapon Ticket1 / 2,500
Dino Equipment1 / 27,778
Seasonal Event Items1 / 62,500
Life Scroll1 / 125,000
Gachapon for Net Cafe, Miraculous Chaos Scroll, Chaos Scroll, Sengoku Class Supplementary Pass, Chair Gachapon Ticket, Worm1 / 250,000 each
Donation Point1 / 500,000

Guaranteed equip drops scale with both the monster level and your own level, so the same item can roll very different stats depending on where and when you get it.

High-stat Dino equipment: 18 Dino items each roll on their own at 1 / 1,000,000 (with the same boosts), so the chance of any one is about 1 / 55,556 and a very lucky kill can drop more than one. Every stat rolls between 1,000 and a ceiling set by the monster's level, not yours (High-stat Dino Drops).

11. Guilds & Link Skills

Guilds

A guild is the best early boost there is: its skills give damage, bonus stats and up to 50% damage resistance, automatically, the moment you join. Join one with @guild (level 10+), or create your own at the Guild Headquarters on top of Orbis (@guildmap). Raise your guild level by donating Unleashed Coins (@etc → Guild Points). Guild Masters and Jr. Masters: @manageguild.

@manageguild
@manageguild

Every character on your Login ID gives your whole account a Link Skill bonus, from +25% up to +9,999% per character, depending on its job and level. Check yours with @link. Leveling a few alts pays off twice - and with Hyper Burning they level 3x faster (Link Skills).
