[PATCH NOTES] 2.03

October 14, 2026

!!! Halloween Event !!!

  • The Halloween Battle is open from Oct 16 to Nov 2. Every hour the Halloween boss spawns, and everyone on the map gets Candy and can loot Pumpkin Baskets. Use @event to join or to trade in your candies. Baskets hold various prizes. Read more
  • Code HALLOWEEN is active (starting October 14th) for +50% extra Donation Points and Worms. Valid until November 3rd. Donate

Bug Fixes & (QOL) Changes

  • Percentage (%) damage, boss damage and overpower in the Character Stat window would only show 50,118%. This was a visual bug and has been corrected.
  • Personal vote confirmation: when you vote, your chat box now shows "Thank you for voting. You have received {rewards}. You can @vote {x} more times today."
  • The Battle Square Life Scroll entry fee is lowered to 1-5 depending on your level (was 2-16); the Golden Meso Bag fee stays the same. Emblem rewards are unchanged at up to 400 per battle at Lv. 6,000+, so a battle now gives back more than its Life Scroll cost. Larson's Gallant Emblem shop is much cheaper.
  • Discord integration is now more accurate and reconnects automatically when it loses connection.
  • Life Scroll auto-replay with @at is now reliable. Dying at the end of a run no longer stops it (you're revived and the next run starts), and a failed replay never costs your scrolls or GMB, with a clear message about why. Ellinia and Kerning runs now always return you to the right town.
  • Fixed an exploit where the @instance burning EXP bonus kept working after you left the instance by warping, dying or disconnecting.
  • Event registrations now cancel properly when you warp away from the event registration/wait map. Pyramid no longer gets stuck when a run times out. Several instance events no longer mix up data between parties running at the same time.
  • DP Dungeon now works with @at auto-replay, like Dojo. When a run ends it restarts on the same tier and takes the DP once per run, and chat shows how much DP you have left.
  • @effect 0 now hides more monster and boss skill cast animations, so boss fights are less cluttered and less likely to crash. The skills still work as normal, and monster attacks, buffs, debuffs and summons stay visible. Death and spawn animations are unchanged.
  • Pets no longer cause client crashes when out, or when dropped and picked up by others.
  • Fixed the Net Cafe Gachapon "Use multiple tickets" option losing tickets when a roll landed on a one-of-a-kind item you already own. Each ticket is now only used after its reward reaches your inventory, duplicates of one-of-a-kind items are re-rolled for free, and if the run has to stop, your unused tickets stay with you.
  • The Hired Merchant area (Free Market - @ah) has been expanded even more. It's getting busy over there! (Requires the Map.wz file update.)
  • Cygnus Mentality (EES) and Beast Tamer (DP) NPCs no longer refuse items once a stat reaches 9,999,999, so stats can keep growing.
  • Fixed a fishing display bug where a catch could show 3 matching fish but give no Fish Coin. The reels now always show your real result: a lost catch shows as a near-miss, and 3 matching fish always pay out. Catch odds and rewards are unchanged.
  • Fixed Black Heaven spawners (and a few other mobs) leaving a Frenzy Totem behind every time they died. The totems filled up the map's monster limit, so only a handful of real monsters could spawn. Maps now fill up with the normal number of monsters again.
  • Pets brought back from @storepet are permanent again, just like when you got them from your Town Quest completions.
  • The anti-cheat no longer kicks players running legit remote desktop or game-streaming software, as long as it's installed in its default Program Files folder.
  • The Pet Pygmy NPC in the DP Market can now give back pets you've lost. Any pet in your Collection Log that's no longer on any of your characters, in storage or in @storepet can be reclaimed once per account as a new, permanent pet.
  • The anti-cheat now checks the game files once, 5 minutes after launch, instead of twice, and reads them slowly in the background, so it no longer causes lag spikes on weaker PCs.
  • Fixed Beginners turning into an invalid job at level 70 or 120, which made their job show wrong in the client. Auto job advancement now only applies to 2nd and 3rd job Explorers, and affected characters have been reset to Beginner.
  • After looking at the fishing numbers for both boosted and non-boosted players, the general fishing chance got a slight boost. Bonusless fishing should net around 9.3% profit long-term (assuming you buy 10 worms for 1 DP, excluding scatter and bonus round hits).
  • Every Dojo is now one map with constant boss spawns instead of warping you to the 'next round' (this caused client crashes for some). The new map also allows potions, SGA and totems.
  • DP Dungeon tiers no longer lock once you outlevel them. EXP rates have been heavily tweaked in favor of more levels per DP at ANY level. Read more
  • The Dojo stat soft cap is now 3x your Bossing/Dojo average (was 2x), so you can push one stat much further before clears move to your lowest stat.
  • The Dojo stat soft cap now has a 5,000% floor, so you can build one stat up to 5,000% before the 3x-average balancing starts. When a clear is redirected, it always goes to a stat that can still take the bonus, so nothing is lost.
  • Monster Park Hard was giving more EXP than Hell. The EXP rates have been swapped, so Hell now gives the higher rate. If you do both, you still get the same number of levels per day.
  • Status Resist now works against everything monsters throw at you: buff dispels and deadly attacks now roll your resist chance too. Players using @at now also get their Status Resist and Holy Shield protection, which they didn't before.
  • Only one character per internet connection can gain EXP at a time. Households that share an internet connection can ask staff to whitelist their accounts.
  • Capo (@boss) has been given various boss skills to make his fight more challenging.
  • Inkwell's Spell Trace exchange is now an even 1:1000 in both directions: 1 ST gives 1,000 EES, and 1,000 scrolls buy one back, so you lose nothing switching back and forth.
  • HempMS Launcher: when a file fails to download from the Cloudflare CDN, the launcher now downloads it from our main server instead, so players whose connection blocks or stalls the CDN can update again.
  • Monster Park is now hard-capped at 25 free + 5 bought entries per mode per day (Burning Hell 10), including for party members, who are now refused once they're at their cap. Shop purchases are re-checked at confirmation, and members who only join others' runs now get the daily reset properly.
  • The Sengoku Standing and Fishy Fish starter quests (@quest) are back to 99,999 kills, matching the other starter quests. If you're already past 99,999 you can turn the quest in right away, and your kill counter then starts again from 0.
  • The Ardentmill Secret Mines and Secret Herb Patches now each allow 10 entries per day instead of 3.
  • New command @mlhs warps you directly to the Maple Leaf High School starter map.
  • Fixed the Maple Leaf High School leave portal counting "No" as a wrong quiz answer and kicking you out. The leave question is now a menu, and picking "No, stay" keeps you in your stage.
  • Pink Zakum now gives you 2 entries per day that reset at 00:00 server time (CEST), instead of 1 entry per 12 hours. You can use both whenever you like during the day.
  • @itemfilter's attack filter can now check only W.ATT, only M.ATT, or either one like before. This also applies to @loot auto-recycling and the Top-N filter, so physical classes no longer keep gear just because its M.ATT is high.
  • The Windows key no longer gets blocked while HempMS is in focus. The Start menu and shortcuts like Win+D and Win+Shift+S now work in-game, in both windowed and fullscreen.
  • Crafting (@craft) is now a lot cheaper.
  • Your first vote each day now also gives a Sengoku Entry Ticket on top of the usual VP, NX and Game Die. Claim them in-game at @vpshop. Rewards for votes 2-10 are unchanged.
  • @craft has been permanently enabled (it was giving a Maintenance error).
  • Scrap Metal had a hidden expiration date. The item is now permanent.
  • The EOW instance boost now grows with your Total Level within each tier, instead of staying at the tier's starting strength until you unlock the next one. This boosts your EXP/h by quite a lot!

New

  • @market / @shops: browse and search every item for sale in Hired Merchants in one window, with equip stats on hover. Press Go on an item to go straight to that shop with its window already open.
  • Giant Bunny and Giant Bunny Saddle can now be crafted in @craft for Scrap Metal and GMB, so you can fill both mount slots (Tamed Monster + Saddle).
  • Pet Equipment can now be bought from Pet Pygmy in the DP Market (@fm, next to Kanna). There are 10 pet slot items. Each comes with 1,000,000 in all main stats (STR, DEX, INT, LUK, Weapon/Magic Attack, Weapon/Magic Defense) and 5 random potential lines. Read more
  • Various new mining recipes (@craft) have been added to make Mining actually worth doing. Read more
  • The Referral Program is LIVE! Gain EP, VP and DP for yourself and whoever you referred to HempMS. Read more
  • @week has a new look, with a reward track that shows exactly what each claim gives, ending in a Donation Point on the 15th claim (unchanged). The weekly boss can now be any boss you've unlocked in @boss and needs only 25 clears (down from 50), and hunting quests stay within 500 levels of your character. Teleporting to a farm map now costs 5 Golden Meso Bags (down from 10), still free with a Hyper Teleport Rock.
  • NPC Spindle (Poll Booth) added to the Free Market.
  • The HempMS Launcher's config button / 'Game Settings' now opens a simple menu that writes directly to Kaotic.ini, making it easier to change your resolution and similar settings.
  • Halloween Candies (seasonal event) have been added to the Rare Drop Table. Several other drops have been made a lot more common. Expect more Life Scrolls, Worms, Donation Points and Sengoku Passes while farming mobs.
  • Voting NX is worth a lot more now. Check out the new prices and items at @vpshop or on the website.
  • The Event Point Shop also got a slight overhaul: cheaper, with better and more useful items. Check out @epshop or the website.

Faster Game Launch

  • The client now starts much faster: a small helper DLL lets it read its game files from memory instead of making millions of tiny disk reads. Older and slower computers benefit the most.

Asia Server

  • Moved the Asia relay to another host that should have a better direct route to Europe.
  • Players from Asia, Australia and New Zealand connect through the new Singapore relay automatically. @asiaroute on/off/auto lets everyone choose for themselves.
